The Problem
Our client’s infrastructure was overwhelmed by thousands of call attempts per minute, causing its Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) circuits to reach maximum capacity. This elevated demand hindered communications functionality across the organization. While the environment’s two communications clusters were originally sized appropriately, they could no longer support the heightened load.
The government body’s stringent security standards added further complexity, requiring rigorous certificate management and compliance alignment. Hundreds of auto-attendant menu trees had to be preserved and replicated, with any infrastructure changes needing to be executed without disrupting operations across the organization’s extensive service footprint.
The BlueAlly Solution
Due to the urgency and breadth of the disruption, our technical experts rapidly mobilized to stabilize and scale our client’s communications infrastructure. We executed the expansion in real time under extreme constraints. Within 2 hours, our teams designed and deployed two additional communications clusters. This included configuring and integrating the clusters into the existing environment, then bringing the new clusters online to double system capacity. We also addressed complex dependencies across the environment, including reconfiguring and stabilizing interworking voicemail systems.
Hundreds of auto-attendant menu structures were migrated and replicated, with these additional tasks ensuring interoperability across the client’s communications infrastructure. Security and compliance were also maintained throughout the project, with our teams assisting in generating certificate signing requests (CSRs) and coordinating with authorities to accelerate validation. These processes ensured adherence to our client’s security requirements, including NIST-aligned practices. All tasks were executed live without disrupting ongoing communications services.

The project resulted in immediate crisis resolution, doubling system capacity within hours to eliminate voicemail bottlenecks. Our teams preserved critical functionality across the environment, ensuring thousands of voicemail boxes and complex auto-attendant structures remained fully intact.
