The Problem

The scale of the entertainment provider’s expansive footprint presented significant time and cost investments, requiring its technicians to visit each site to complete the network upgrade, which was financially unfeasible. These sites spanned hundreds of distributed locations, with each location’s network infrastructure nearing the end of its product lifecycle. The entertainment provider required an extensive, scalable deployment strategy that minimized complexities in the face of these challenges.

The BlueAlly Solution

BlueAlly’s Integration Center was integral to the solutions provided for this project. It is the staging environment for all IT projects, enabling on-site and remote implementation, system configuration and testing, firmware and software upgrades, and other services. This Integration Center also provides post cut-over support, packaging and shipping, and inventory management. BlueAlly’s model provides numerous benefits to our customers, including multi-vendor project staging, pre-implementation hardware validation, reduced costs from decreased on-site time, and other advantages that greatly simplify technologically complex projects.

Under a client-first delivery model, the solution was tailored end to end to the client’s unique technology requirements and structured to limit risk and accelerate deployment. The engagement began with joint working sessions that united technical stakeholders and executive leadership to confirm goals, success measures, and a practical deployment timeline. Based on those inputs, equipment was staged and preconfigured in the Integration Center, so that each shipment aligned to site-specific networking parameters, images, and security policies. This preparation ensured that the hardware arrived ready to deploy, minimizing onsite complexity.

The Results

This scalable deployment strategy resulted in an agile networking infrastructure that strengthened security controls and optimized performance across our client’s expansive business footprint. With our close collaboration, the entertainment provider’s technology team improved remote management and enhanced standardization through the capabilities provided by the preconfigured Fortinet security stacks sent to each site.

Future troubleshooting was bolstered by improving our client’s documentation of configurations and policies, creating a centralized source of truth for future remediation and ongoing network management.
